Wonderful weekends April 27, 2011

There are some weekends that are just fabulous – and the super long one that just drifted past in a haze of wine and sunshine is definitely one such candidate.
Why so fabulous?
Well, it began with a film, followed by mooching around in the park and eating deliciously salt and vinegar laden chips as the sun set behind the trees. Then the theme continued, pub was followed by mooching, followed by daydreaming under the hot blue sky, followed by more mooching, more films, and card games by the river.
It was, in essence, one of those rare weekends filled with the company of wonderful people, filled with days that are all about the indulgence and decadence of being able to halt and just stop. Just watch the clouds drift past, and pass comment on the colourful people meandering through the summer haze. I couldn’t necessarily tell you what has made it so fabulous, but I have come back to work with a sense of everything being very much “OK”, of life being good and wonderful and light.
Oh, for more weekends like this.
