Tomatoes Tomatoes Tomatoes
A hot smoldering summer day, with thunder crashing across the sky whilst it’s still sunny. The air was all muggy, and we sat out in the quad revising, munching on salads, icecreams and sipping multiple soft drinks. The sun was shining on our backs and warming us through, and all around we could hear the bustle of productivity and the chatter of students. The highlight of the day, however, was the tomatoes.
The simplest, most underrated vegetable ever, I borrowed two large firm ripe angels from my corridor mates. I sliced them thinly, sprinkled them liberally with salt and copious amounts of pepper, and munched them whilst still cold in the direct heat of the sun. Perfect.

Tomatoes are also wonderful if chopped into small pieces and served with plenty of salt and fresh basil. It’s the perfect accompaniment to just about anything.

It is soo tasty. I think this summer is going to be all about tomatoes for me! Even though I have ulcers from all my exams and it’s painful to eat tomatoes! Hehe.
